Electric razors in foil design come with one head and one foil. Technically, it is expected to give closer shaves, but many users prefer a rotary design as it is capable of cutting the longer hair. Rotary razors are also likely to give better shaving results on the curved parts of face. Both these types are equally popular.
Women can also get both kinds of razors, especially designed for them. The rotary design is perhaps superior for shaving over the knees or under arm areas, though the foil design is known for giving close shaves. Those prone to razor burns can now patronize electric shavers that are used in association with gel or shaving crème that will reduce skin irritation. Nevertheless, the most important benefit of an electric shaver is the fact that it can even be used over dry skin.
Initially, when employing an electric razor, the quality of the shave could not be as close as you expected. It may take a couple of weeks for the growth of hair and skin to get accustomed to the working of the razor. Usually, by continuing to use such a razor, you’ll find their performance improving due to this adjustment. The quality of shaves improves within a couple of weeks. If you find that you aren’t getting a closer shave even after a couple of weeks, you should use special gels for shaving that harden hair, making their cutting easier.
It is significantly important to keep electric razors clean. It is best to follow manufacturer’s instructions for their cleaning. It is equally important to keep a check on the foils over the top of blades. In case a foil breaks or falls off, you should replace the entire razor. In the absence of foils, the blades of the razor are very likely to make cuts on your face, as the razor can’t work efficiently.
